FAQ
How do I get help?
Email ryan@ageofmillennials.com — a real person reads and replies, usually within a couple of days. You can also use the contact form.
What does Scout actually tell me about a price?
Scout reads the live asking market: what tracked listings are asking right now, plus the category’s Heat Index standing. It is not an appraisal and not a sold-comp valuation. When nothing comparable is tracked, Scout says so instead of inventing a number — check the exact printing and condition, and verify big purchases externally.
Why is a category showing “calibrating” or “limited data”?
Calibrating means we have not captured enough history in that category to publish a score yet. Limited data means fewer than five tracked listings sit behind the band, so we hide the typical ask rather than present a thin sample as a market rate. Both are deliberate.
How do scan allowances work?
Barcode scans and typed descriptions are unlimited on every tier, free included. AI photo scans draw on a monthly allowance because each one costs real money to run; a failed read never spends one. Your current allowance is shown on the Plan tab in the app. Full breakdown on the Scout page.
How do I change or cancel my subscription?
Website subscriptions are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record — manage or cancel at paddle.net. Purchases made inside the iOS app are managed in your Apple ID subscription settings. Refund terms are on the refund policy page.
What happens when my free trial ends?
The 7-day Field Agent trial needs no card and ends on its own — your account moves to the free Scout tier and nothing is charged. Everything you logged stays.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the iOS app, open the account screen and choose Delete account — it removes your scans, collection, hauls, watchlist and entitlements along with the login. On the website, email us and we will delete it. Deletion is permanent.
Does Scout use my camera photos or location for anything else?
No. A scan photo is used to identify that item and is not published or sold. Location is used only to find shops and shows near you, when you ask for it. Your scans, collection and hauls stay private and never move the public Heat Index. Details in the privacy policy.
I found something wrong in a price or an article.
Tell us — corrections are welcome and we publish them. Email ryan@ageofmillennials.com with what you saw and where. Our sourcing rules are on the source policy page.
