Formula 1 cards used to be a niche corner of the hobby. This week a Kimi Antonelli one-of-one sold for $878,400, close behind the best-known Lewis Hamilton SuperFractor. Here's the board of the biggest F1 card sales we can trace to a source, plus what the pattern says. Signals, not appraisals.

What "public" vs. "private" means here

Row 1 is the top figure, but nobody can audit it. Both sides kept the details private, per Men's Journal, and the only number on record is "just over $1 million." Rows 2 and 3 have a lot page with a winning bid, a bid count and a close time. When you see "record" in a headline, check which kind it is.

AOM signal: A public auction result with a lot page is a hard signal. A private sale is a reported signal. Weight them differently.

Three patterns on the board

1. SuperFractors own the top. The three biggest figures are all Topps Chrome SuperFractor 1/1s. If you're new to the parallel, start with SuperFractor 1/1s, explained.

2. Antonelli moved fast. Two Antonelli cards sold in April 2026 at $201,910 and $360,510. Six months later his SuperFractor auto closed at $878,400. Goldin's lot description ties that to his 2026 season, with eight wins in the first 15 Grands Prix.

3. Live bids aren't results. In early October the Antonelli SuperFractor sat at $329,400 with premium, per Men's Journal. It finished at 2.67 times that. A mid-auction bid is a current ask.

Verify before you buy: F1 cards

  1. Run the cert on PSA Verify and match the label to the photos (year, product, card number, parallel, grade).
  2. Check the serial on the card itself, especially on anything listed as 1/1.
  3. Know the product. Topps Chrome F1, Sapphire, Dynasty and Finest are different products with different parallel ladders.
  4. Comp within tier. A Red Refractor result tells you little about a base Antonelli rookie, and nothing about a 1/1.
  5. Ask for the trail. High-end F1 cards usually have a public auction history. Use it.
